Lived sales experience, direct from the real world

What makes Chalkboard Club different is the specialised, one-on-one personal attention you’ll receive from me. Your training and coaching are delivered individually or in small groups by the person who acquired the knowledge in the first place. It didn’t come from a corporate case study and wasn’t learnt in a sales training course. These are my experiences and learnings, curated and refined over my 30+ year career. The course content is then personalised, so each salesperson has a bespoke experience. It’s personal.

I provide both Sales Training and Sales Coaching and yes, there is an important difference. Training consists of a suite of pivotal subjects where you’ll learn the theory. That’s important. But coaching is my favourite part – the personalised application of that training. This is where, together, we make sense of that theory and put it to work in real life situations.
Most training courses use hypothetical sales scenarios as learning platforms. Nothing is hypothetical at Chalkboard Club. I train and coach using the actual scenarios the salesperson faces on a daily basis.
More strategic and personalised training makes for more confident and happier salespeople.
They become proud of their successes as they see real outcomes from their training.
Standard sales training is just ticking a box, what Chalkboard Club offers is lifelong lessons that work in the real world because they were learnt in the real world

My Services

Sales Training

I have developed a suite of training modules acquired and honed over a career of solution selling. These include:

Sales Coaching

Individual or Team

I work with individual salespeople or teams to identify problems and to develop remedial actions.

Opportunity Coaching

Large Project Sales involving several team members, and often conducted over a period of months, can falter due to a loss of the right momentum and to a loss of focus. Opportunity Coaching can assist by providing objectivity and course correction recommendations.

Let's go to the Chalkboard for a moment

The truth is, I think that most salespeople I’ve known could improve their performance by adding capability through skill and knowledge that often seems confronting or impenetrable.

An example is Objection Handling. This is scary stuff when you’re getting into position to close a sale and the prospect says something like, “It’s too expensive”, “I haven’t got time to do it” or “My mate bought one and his was a disaster”. The gut reaction is to either attempt to argue your way to success or run away. Both are wrong of
course.
I can show you a 5 Step Objection Handling technique which will identify genuine objections and turn those objections into closing opportunities whilst keeping your prospect engaged and motivated throughout the process.
It’s not done with magic but rather by listening carefully and recognising the time and place to implement your new-found skills.
You will clearly see how this technique breaks problems down into manageable chunks. This is the sort of thing I teach. Things that can be learned that will improve capability and performance.
